The Conceited Cat

I'm lovely, I'm slender
I'm sleek and slim,
infact I'm the handsomest cat
you've ever seen.

The life I lead
is second to no other,
no-one to answer to
not even my mother.

I'm the king of my castle,
the lord of my throne,
I'm the tall dark prince
to whom all I'm known.

I'm of royal blood you see
from my native home in Siam,
for you'll never meet another
quite as grand as I am.

My paws are draped with jewels
and riches to behold
even my collar
is made of gold.

I'm the prettiest, the handsomest
cat you'll ever see,
quite unlike no other
for there's no other like me.

I own all the rivers
and seas throughout the land
none of which I share
for I'm far too grand,

and all the little fishes
as many as I can eat,
have made me so fat
I'm stuck in my seat,

but it's a very grand seat
I'll have you know,
A throne fit for a king
and I should know.

I don't share food
and I don't share toys
and I don't play games
with silly girls and boys,

I'm far too important
to act like that,
I guess some might say
I'm a conceited little cat,

But a very grand one at that!

oh charlotte, what a lovely poem,
you will have to look at my poems about my cat toffee?
she is 13 but very pretty, but very naughty,

great little poem, i liked the words and thought it was well worded.
well done
you must write more.
